On the Issues

Below, I detail my stances on relevant political issues.

Domestic

Economy

The economy is not currently able to sustain livable conditions for American citizens. Much of the issues are a result of oligarchical control of leadership positions within the government. Money funding nefarious and self-serving interests pollutes our political system. Unrestrained capitalism has resulted in a small faction of inexplicably wealthy people who have too much influence in the ebb and flow of the national economy. The creation of fiat currency has led to an enormous power imbalance between the governments budget and spending, and the budgeting and spending capabilities of American citizens. The government operates irresponsibly and unrestrainedly increases the national debt in ways that appear unresolvable, while Americans cannot afford rent, energy, food, water, transportation, and healthcare. Until we address the oligarchy, restore responsible budgeting within the government, and return the power of currency to the people, these issues will remain. I am an advocate for communities of local businesses and small systems of goods and services that are controlled and run by real people; by our neighbors. These communities should be self-sustaining, and empower their people to have the freedom to live and live well.

Tax Reform

Our current tax system is in need of widespread reform, if not total replacement. The system has long been out of touch with the economic capabilities of the average American citizen. It demands too much of our income without providing returns on what our taxes are being invested in. The system also inequitably forces lower earning Americans to shoulder the majority burden of taxes, and creates allowances for higher earners to escape paying their share of their wealth. It is known that taxes and tax systems are complex. I will seek to simplify this system and ensure that those who are involved with it's enforcement prioritize the well-being of Americans over their ability to contribute financially to the country. It is my belief that not everyone should be required to pay taxes. I believe with responsible stewardship of funds, we can alleviate the financial burdens of many people, while also sustaining a functional and promising country.

Jobs

Unlike many politicians, I will not simply attempt to "create jobs" in an arbitrary and unexplained manner. Oftentimes, the creation of jobs is highlighted and touted by politicians or political candidates without further elaboration. The quality of the jobs being created, how effectively they are contributing to the livelihoods of those working them, and the specific function they are performing for the country are all of critical importantance. The development of jobs must be a thoughtful and intentional endeavor, carried out with meaning and purpose so as to not congest our workforce with meaningless jobs that do nothing for our citizens and the country. I will abolish the 40-hour work week, and return the power of bartering and interpersonal communication between employees and employers. People are inherently meant to be free, not have all of their time controlled by their employer or employing business/agency. Jobs are meant to provide a place for people to contribute, in their own way, to society, not burden people with expectations to the point that they feel like slaves. I will also either raise the minimum wage using fiat currency, or provide Americans with a monthly stipend of income until the overall economic functioning, meaning the relationship between people, their work, and their expenses is restored to a healthier balance. It is a deeply flawed system within the United States, and has been improperly functioning for a very long time. This is something that will require some patience and likely a lot of close monitoring to ensure it is working as intended.

Gun Control

Americans, and all people, must have the right to protect themselves and ensure their personal safety. Because guns exist, and governments and militaries have access to them, civilians must also. There are places in the world where countries function without civilians having easy access to firearms, and this could be possible for the future of the United States, but the fact is that governments and militaries have turned against their own people and they could do so in the future. I will not have citizens of this country be held powerless to this fact of history. I want peace for the United States and for the earth, but until we are closer to achieving that, access to firearms is a right for all law-abiding people. The government should be responsible and ethical in terms of it's regulations surrounding how firearms are manufactured and acquired. The policies surrounding guns and gun control is something that must be closely monitored. Policies can always be adjusted, in either direction, to be more appropriate to the culture and use of firearms. Of primary importance, is the gun violence happening in schools and involving our children. It must be stopped. And given the overall prevalence of gun violence in the United States, change is needed, but it is my belief that the current gun violence is indicative of serious domestic and social issues within the United States, and it will only change once they are addressed. These are issues of the economy, healthcare system, and social well-being of society.

Healthcare

Given the modern capabilities that we have achieved as a species, all forms of healthcare should cost a negligible financial amount or be free of charge. As an altruistic system designed to help and heal people, there can be no for-profit corruption within the healthcare system. There must be a plentiful amount of available providers for people of all needs. Healthcare professions have long been esteemed and sought after. Because of this, the supply of them and their services should be able to meet the needs of demand. Insurance agencies, equipment manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, etc. all need widespread reform to limit for-profit corruption that raises the cost of services. Abortion cannot be separated from fundamental healthcare services and must be legal. The most important right for a human being is freedom, therefore a government cannot dictate what a human being does with it's own body.

International

Foreign Policy

First, it is important to recognize and understand the lasting global impact of Colonization. America was founded upon the genocide of an entire indigenous people who lived in the Americas for thousands of years prior to European discovery and settlement. With this as the background and foundation of my understanding of the formation of The United States, it will form many of my policies and actions on a federal level. This will include giving land back to Native Americans for the exclusive purpose of their inhabitance, and seeking counsel from Native Americans and ensuring that their voices be heard throughout the government. The technological connectedness of the people of the world is a current fact of life. Given that and international history, it is unavoidable for the United States to be involved the affairs of the world. We must take our place and stand for the goodness and life of all people. This includes the formal arrest and charging of Benjamin Netanyahu and his cabinet for his and Israel's crimes against humanity. A peaceful resolution must be reached for the people of Israel and Palestine.

The United States has long participated in wars that are deemed of importance by corrupt political leaders. It is now time for the United States to go to war for the right purposes. We must immediately send military aid to Africa, namely Sudan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, whose innocent people are being starved and massacred. Additional military aid must be sent to Haiti for the same purpose. Regarding Ukraine, Russia, and the countries involved, a decision must be made about the United States involvement in a full-scale war. We cannot continue to contribute only financially. It is not working and Putin is not backing down. It is my belief that due to the stubbornness and depravity of Putin and his allies, the United States cannot avoid this war. We can no longer afford to think and care for only ourselves because those who seek to do harm are unrelenting. The entire population of the earth is at stake given modern weapons capabilities.

Immigration

Many of the problems with immigration at the southern border are due to the issues that South Americans are experiencing in their own countries. They cannot be blamed or punished for seeking a better life for themselves, and the United States cannot simply close its borders to them. Remember, we live on stolen land and South Americans have as much, if not more, of a right to it than we do. This is a complicated problem, and United States citizens have been historically told significant amounts of false information regarding border security. A more sustainable and long-term solution to the issue, rather than deportation, is to work with government officials in these countries to find the best possible plan of action for all people. With international effort on these fronts, I hope to find ways to improve asylum seekers' quality of life both within their country and on their journey, AND keep United States citizens safe from harm and increased financial hardship.

CIA & Military

The CIA is categorized under international policy because it has long operated internationally especially since WWII. The United States law enforcement and intelligent agencies have been poisoned over many years of international espionage, double agents, and selfish greed for power and control. This began with our own people and is the fault of no one but our country and its operators. These agencies must be thoroughly investigated for corrupt actions and restored to functioning for the safety and security of American and international citizens. Our military must be mobilized and used for good: for the safety and protection of people on earth, not for commercial/financial interests and global domination.
